The next generations of LCD Monitor displays
Having been a pioneer in technology for much of this decade, the latest trend of hd computer monitor or even the backlit LED monitors is very tempting. I had the opportunity to visit someone that I’ve known for quite sometime, and he has been the head sales manager for one of the bigger LCD manufacturers.
What intrigue me the most from our conversation is that how he visioned the revolution of monitors in the next few years. In his perspective, LED monitors will not overtake the current batch of LCD monitors the way LCD monitors blasted its previous competitor the good o’ CRT monitors. His reasoning was pretty simple, most users can’t tell the different between HD LCD monitor vs a LED monitor.
Having said that, he did admit that the quality of LED monitor, and the lifespan of LED monitor is also longer, from a value standpoint that LED monitor is a better. He also had an interesting antidote to share, how his eyes at one point were bloodshot from playing many hours of games in front of a lcd monitor, but it never happened when he played with his LED monitor. Even though I have heard similar things on the LED monitor, I didn’t necessarily agree with his thoughts on quality, especially since in my experience, I have never had a LCD monitor die on me. How important is its life span when I anticipate to switch it out in a few years anyway. So we agreed to disagree.
After the conversation, I stopped by at a local electronic store to take a good look for myself. From first look, I find that the hd computer monitor just look a tad sharper. Don’t get me wrong, I love how a LED monitor look, but its color seems to be too good to be true. It just seems a little fake to me. It may just require some time to get use to, but the hd computer monitor was more real to me.
Since I was in the market for an upgrade, i found a few good LCD monitor deals on online. And for many reasons stated above, I went with a HP LCD HD computer monitor rather than it’s LED version.
